Greetings to all GHS Fencing parents,
The NOVICE TOURNAMENT is ONE week away. We need all hands on deck to make this a success. We’ll host it in Guilford once again on Saturday, January 26th. Almost 200 fencers (and their families) from all over the state will descend on GHS for this first tournament for new fencers. It takes a great effort from Guilford Fencer Parents to make the long Novice Tournament day a success; we need your help.
- We ask ALL Guilford fencer parents to donate food or materials for the concession sale.
- We ask all non-novice fencer parents to sign up to help at the Tournament itself; Parents of novice fencers do not have to help, so they are free to watch their child fence.
- Volunteers are needed Friday evening to help set-up and Saturday from 7am until late afternoon. The Tournament “starts” at 9:00 am, but we need a lot of time to set up, and fencers begin arriving from all over the State much earlier — most have not had breakfast.
